You need to stop the CLRCEngine3 service.

Still, I couldn't uninstall it manually. When I tried to install it again, it kept giving me 1334 errors. So I google a little about it and found this PDVD uninstallers in the Cyberlink Forum:
http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/15008.page#72551

It solved my problem. Hope it helps you too.

Every time there is an upgrade or a new version the installation routine gives trouble and seriously sux! Getting Windows Installer packages right is really NOT hard to do. Maybe you shoudl quit using InstallShield (as that is hell on earth by itself) but you update and upgrade process really needs sorting out.

BTW, that Cleanup Tool you refer to was pulled by Microsoft and they say to refer back to the vendor - so back at you Cyperlink...

I made the same steps:
All very well, but I have a situation where having attempted to uninstall with Windows Installer Clean Up, manually removing registry and InstallShield Installation Information, I still cannot remove the Cyberlink Power DVD9 folder as it is impossible to remove the Language file and impossible to remove CLRCEngine3.dll and PDVD9Serv elements in the PowerDVD9 folder!! THESE FILES CANNOT BE DELETED
Please somebody which is the best way to do it

Thanks for that info. I'm trying to uninstall PowerDVD 8 Ultra... I'm assuming the registry entries aren't the same? What's the process for unsintalling PowerDVD 8?
